It's Big AL again.

Now that I am content with the turbo slug I have another glitch with the beast. When travelling at normal road speed and I go over the smallest of either lumps or hollows, typical bad road repair jobs, I get a knock/clunk/rattle from the front end. I think it might be something to do with anti rool bars or similar. I don't think it is exhaust but I am confused!

If I get under the front end and push various bits I can't reproduce the sound so it must be something to do with the chassis / sub frame and wheels "ish" I think

Any ideas anyone

Cheers

Hi folks Big AL again.

Just fitted the ARDL to the offside front - hey hey no clunk - nice one.

The nut and bolt gargle worked a treat.

One thing though, when I released the old ARDL the anti roll bar rotated upwards, thus causing the pitch between the two holes to increase. I had to use a long bar to realign the top hole.

I did the remove the wheel type of job cos my drive is very uncomfortable to lie on.

Trying to find a thin spanner to stop the bolt rotating was difficult, but I managed with a cycle spanner, you know one of those old fashioned flat ones. It worked a fine.

Anyway thanks again for the advice especially to Nikpv.
