Guest KEN Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 First noticed water in the footwell of passenger side, a few days latter the central locking packed up, I have removed the fuse to enable me to lock the car, otherwise all I get is a repeating sequence of automatic loor locking / unlocking. The water I think results from blocked drains - should be easy to fix. Is it possible that the water has affected the CL system if so is this common and does anyone know how to fix it - or will letting it dry out work??? Thanks Quote
NikpV Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 the water could result in blocked drains OR leaking rear window washer pipe, before a certain date 97 i think the cl module was under the passenger seat - so yes it could be - need some car details to tell, put them in your sig... car details in sig rear washer pipe clearing scuttle drains do a search on central locking here for loads of hits Quote
Guest KEN Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Agreed after seeing the pictures a very poor design. The car is an R reg, and yes always have wondered what the little black box was under the passenger seat. If this is the cause of the Central lock failure will it need replacement or can it be fixed. thanks Quote
