Masked Marauder Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 Nope, took them out, hooked them up to the battery to test them, they glowed hot instantly, put them back. Knew about the door opening, key turn BS so looked up the wiring diagram. No connection to the doors or the alarm or locking system. Quote

Scorpiorefugee Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 They seem to use the glow plug light as a problem warning light. Mine has just started to come on and flash if I have my lights on in the rain. :( :( :( The lights work and it stops when it dries up or I put the lights out. Have a look round to see if you can link it to something obvious. The fact that the light comes on does not mean that the glow plugs are powered up. Good innit??? Quote
Porkstone Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 My glow plug light has also just started flashing about 2 mins after I start the engine. The manual says this indicates a fault and to get it checked out by a dealer so I have booked it in. The vehicle seems to be driving normally so it may be a sensor fault. Quote

Book it out (unless it is a warranty job) as it is most likely the brake light switch that takes 10 mins to change and costs Quote
Porkstone Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 Thanks for the advice, fortunately it is still under warranty so I'll let them sort it out. Well worth knowing this as I intend to keep the Gal past her warranty. Many thanks, P Quote
