do you mean the head unit in the dash - ours (MKII with a rds 5000 - double din) only has the climate control/aircon below it - no gap, do you have a single DIN aftermarket unit?

:unsure: Defo a ghia then. Best i go to Fraud Dealer and purchase a owners manual :unsure:

On mine you have the climate control, then the stereo, and then the very bottom one is just like a little storage space. It has like a pull out plastic sleve with a rubber mat on the bottom....just right for holding a wallet or ciggys etc. LOL

on mark 1 the tray pulled out for the optional 2007-2040 cd combination

thought someone had retro fitted them but the loom and amp looked original and had been there for a long time.
