Guest rpthomas Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 The Indicator Relay has failed on my Ford KA. I bought a new relay from spares, but cannot find how to access the relay unit. Can anyone help with simple, blow by blow, instructions, please?
Guest El_Torro Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 Remove the steering column covers, which has combination of philip's and star head screws. You don't need help with this just find them and unscrew them! It's located just below the indicator unit if I remember correctly. There's a lever clip holding it from the back and you might have to lever the relay out with a small screwdriver, quite stiff. Then just plug in the new one. Why are you so sure it's the relay?
Guest rf1 Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 Hi I have a problem with the indicators on a Ford KA 2001 1.3. The indicators intermittently stay permanently on or they flash on/off very slowly, the internal indicator light also stays on constantly or flashes on very slowly. This has got worse over the last week. I have noticed today that after approx half an hour of driving they do improve. Could it be the indicator relay? If it is, can you recommend the best place to buy a relay? Thanks R
