Taliska Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 Sorry to be so ignorant, but what is the Tonneau cover that comes in the Versatility Pack? :o Anyone got a photo? Thanks, Taliska Quote
Guest JIMSTDI Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 its a roller cover that fits over the rear space where the 2 most backones go,ideal for hiding bits of you dont want them to be seen, u get a few for sale cheap on ebay sorry not got a pic put in search word ford galaxy on ebay www.ebay.co.uk all the best james Quote
Taliska Posted September 17, 2003 Author Report Posted September 17, 2003 Thanks a lot for the feedback... Can the rear pair of rear seats be stowed folded up and hinged up to make more space? Can the cover be pulled over the stowed seats? Thanks for helping! Taliska Quote
HJT Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 "Can the rear pair of rear seats be stowed folded up and hinged up to make more space?" In theory yes, in practice with difficulty. You need to move the middle row of seats right forward, fold up the rear seats then move the middle seats back against the folded rear seats to stop them falling back to the floor when you accelerate. This also leaves marks in the fabric on the seats. Not sure whether the cover will go over these as I don't have one.If you don't have the cover as a factory fit option, it is quite tricky to fit as you need you get a fixing kit to screw into the side panels at the back, can be done though as I believe some forum members have done it. Guest JIMSTDI Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 i dont have the cover myself, but from pics ive seen,i dont think you can have the seats upright(could be wrong lol) howard is right in,u will need the fixing kit from fords all the best james Quote
Taliska Posted September 18, 2003 Author Report Posted September 18, 2003 Thanks Howard and James for your advice. This folding the seats up business sounds a bit dodgy to me! Will have to think about this tonneau cover thing. Taliska Quote
Mikef Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 The cover does go over the seats when they are upright, just about tho. As someone pointed out, having the seats upright is not easy. I typically put them mostly upright, them stick luggage under them to stop them flopping down again. The cover is useful - cuts down a little noise, and can stop stuff in the back flying forward in the case of an emergency stop. Don't forget that to have one you have to have the full versatility pack - which effectively means that the side panels at the rear have to be changed to incorporate the slots that the cover fits into to. I was quoted around Quote
Guest mick Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Maybe that's what the little 'teddybear' bag in the Vers. pack is for ..... stowing the coat hangers! It's stuff all use otherwise. My 7 & 8 year old girls took great offence when we offered to send them to school with it! Quote
Mikef Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Now we didn't get the teddy bear bag with ours, seems to have gotten lost somewhere along the line... I was actually disappointed!! I really need to get a life.... mikef Quote
Taliska Posted September 18, 2003 Author Report Posted September 18, 2003 I'm sitting here gently chortling at your comments! :D It sounds as if it is a useful addition then - if I get a really new one (as opposed to one from stock) then I might well go for it. Thanks all for your advice! Taliska Quote

Guest Nik Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 Here's a pic of my cover ('01 Galaxy):http://users.pandora.be/nik.mestdach/autos/galaxyint2.jpg you CAN'T have the seats upright with the cover! When the seats are folded, you have to leave them on the ground, and then you can roll out the cover. Also, with the seats fully deployed, you have to remove the cover because otherwise no one can access the back row :blink:But in that case, i place the cover behind the first row on the ground, and ask my passengers friendly do NOT put their feet on it (because of the light color - beige). Taliska Posted October 5, 2003 Author Report Posted October 5, 2003 Thanks Nik for the photo, think that I could probably do with one when the kids decide that the middle is better than the back. Am getting my Galaxy in a week! How did it go... the search for the Climair cover? Taliska Quote
Guest Nik Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 hi nik is the colour parchment cheersjames James; sorry for late replying, but most of the time I forget to enable email notification of replies. The color is simply 'beige', fabric is 'Harlequin', it's a 'Trend'.I find it very 'sunny' in this color. I become depressed of grey interiors. greets! Quote
