Folding Third Row Seats!

Hi all,

I have not had my gal very long but am having trouble folding the third row of seats up against the middle row

I have slid middle row forward,and third row backwards,but when I lift the seat to the vertical the catches for doing the seat backs on the middle row dig into the cushions and then hit the plastic moulding on the seat back

If left like this the cushion becomes quite indented

I have tried a friends 2004 gal and their"s tip up past the plastic moulding and sit nice and vertical

Am I missing a trick here or do others have this problem?

The design was changed between mk1 and mkII to make this less of a problem - perhaps they were still using up mkI seats - just changing the headrests in 2000. Having said that our 2001 model has similar problems although they do go up vertical you have to make sure they go past the plastic but they do indent the cushion :angry: . Used to bother me but we only keep one back seat in and just fold it down now.
