Guest JIMSTDI Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 my wifes focus does that, when we have some rain followed by dry weatherthen it goes after a day or so james Quote
Guest ANDY FITZGERALD Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003  Maybe some counter lubricant on the rubber just to help ease it a bit ?? Might work Quote
Guest SA Intruder Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 There are some specific aerosols for this.... The lubricant is usually silicone based, and will not harm rubber or nylon, which normal mineral oil will. Another tip: when you grease the bonnet/boot catches and door hinges, use "white" grease (sometimes also called food grade). Doesn't stain if your clothes contact it. Another tip: a bird in the hand does it on your wrist. Quote
Eddie Posted September 24, 2003 Author Report Posted September 24, 2003 James is correct it is squeaking against the rubber and it is dependant on the weather so not a big issue as it has stopped now. I will check in the motor store to see what they have for this problem. Thanks all.Eddie. Quote
