Im confused as to what amount of air my tyres need. The handbook says about 44 psi, but ford dealer man says maybe 38 psi or more.

My tyres that came with the car are

" 195 / 60R 16C "

I dont want to damage my tyres or my safety by putting in the wrong air pressure. Anyone have the same size tyres ?

if the car isnt towing anything, and isnt too heavy loaded, my tyres have 42PSI in the front, and 38PSI in the rear.

when heavy, the tyres are well pumped up lol 42+

in my galaxy, open the drivers door, and look at the bottom left of the door frame, there's a sticker with all information on it.

i will have to check my tyre type later

morticiaskeeper: many thanks, you were right. On my model , LX, 2002, the correct tyre pressues are listed on the inside of the fuel fill flap.

Result :D

lol ours says - diesel - check engine oil every 600 miles, blah blah.

gives you summet read when your re-fueling - less scary than watching the price roll fly round
