New Windscreen

Hello, first of all i would like to say that this site has been very useful for me after i bought my first Galaxy last month.

However down to business, would anyone know of any differences in the screens for a mk1 and mk 2 Galaxy. I had my mk1 replaced at the weekend but autoglass have put a screen from a mk2 in it's place. Apart from the little viewing hole for the chassis(sp) number is there any difference??

No. The screens are the same. The only different screen has thin wires running through it for the windscreen demister. Other than that they are all the same size etc.

Doesn't the MkII have a leaded Georgian effect or is that optional?

Both my Mark I and Mark II have had the "leaded Georgian" effect of a heated element the only real difference has been the "window" for the VIN number as this has become a legal requirement on new vehicles.

Hmm....does that mean if i get a new windscreen with the georgian effect..i could also put in a request for a nice leaded window painting aswell???I mean..i could have a gal with wings in a nice frame? :D :D :D
