mumof4 Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Ok..ive noticed this on my beloved gal..not sure if its the norm tho so just asking. When my rear tailgate is shut, there is a wider gap on one side than the other..i.e..i can see the thingys that make it go up and down on one side thru the gap but i cant on the other side where the slight gap is.Otherwise it is flush all the way round. Can someone have a looksie at their tailgate when shut to see if it is the same????the gap wider on one side ?..on the longer bit i mean and not the bit above the bumper??? Cheers, Marian. Quote
strouf Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Up to a certain point, I think it's normal... You can't adjust the tailgate using a micrometer. On my car (3 months old ) you can't see the gas-shock "thingie" but the gap is not equal either. Quote
mumof4 Posted May 13, 2006 Author Report Posted May 13, 2006 it just sems that one gap is so much wider than the other..hubbys pinched the car to go watch footy at a mates..when he gets back i think ill measure em.Peace of mind 4 me really as i dont want someone trying to break in thru the gap coz my alarm isnt working!!it doesnt make a sound even though i left a window open and a door was not shut properly. Quote
