Yet again I have an Aircon problem on my Galaxy! At least this time its a bit easier to see what the problem is a Snapped pipe!

Basically the metal pipe has broken in half as it ubends at the bottom and then connects into the compressor. It seems funny how this can snap when it doesnt really get touched, anway does anybody know what would need replacing to get this fixed or if you can patch them up. I have had a look and the metal pipe goes into a flexible pipe and then to the filler valve located at the front but I can't see any joins were you would fit a new part.

Has anybody had this fault and can offer advice ?

Any comments or help would be appreciated.

Possibly you have snapped the engine/gearbox roll restrictor bolt, common, will allow engine/gearbox to move and snap a/c pipe

Soundss like yours has snapped in exactly the same place as mine, I don't think the roll restrictor bolt has sheared on mine though so don't know what causes it to break at this point

Mine cracked at the first clamp to the right of the high pressure valve, under that bracket in front of the battery.

The pipes are Aluminium and the rubbing of the clamp lets corrosion eat deep into the pipe which eventually holes and lets all the oil and gas out, knackering the pump in the process

Not strictly true - Once the gas level falls below a set minimum the pressure sensor won't allow the compressor clutch to activate.
