Guest waryoffraud Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 An intermittent problem that's become more frequent over the last few months. First noticed Jan 06. Wipers randomly stop half way across screen and then start up again. Also started to judder. Sometimes fail to start at all, but worse when cold. Similar ramdom stopping on rear wiper - always at same point - and over-running of the normal 3-cycle wipe. Quoted approx. Quote
NikpV Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 I'd have a go at dismantling and re-greasing first See thread here Quote

mumof4 Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Mumble....its not a bad job really....now i know what im doing ill be able to do it again!!.The satisfaction and self accomplishment i felt once everything was back together and the wipers worked properly for the first time in months....it felt brilliant.I sat in that car and just washed the windscreen with the wipers for half an hour.(sad i know). But i had a huge grin on my face!! Quote
Guest papabear Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 hmmm, this sounds like a similar problem I have had twice. Both times the windscreen wpers have juddered & then stopped. Twice the garage have replaced the motor unit under warranty. Also I have had electrical problems with the rear windscreen wiper and the water hose/connector coming loose and disconnected. Once I guess can happen, twice it's a bit different and thought there may be other people with the similar problem. Quote
