Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 ..and as for the last incident I had with another driver - my front bumper and their rear but it was their fault.... what do you do when you are in a queue for a car park and the person in front of you changes their mind, slams their car into reverse and accelerates backwards into you, not having checked in their rear view mirror? I am sat there, horn blaring because I can see what is going to happen but cannot move out of the way. Grrrrrr Quote

Grrrrrr Witnessed this very thing in a supermarket carpark (if somerfields can be called a super-market) old bloke got out of the offending car swearing and cursing at the other driver ;) - she looked shocked at this - wrote my name and address on a post it and gave it to the woman, told her it wasn't her fault and got a load of verbal from the bloke saying he needed the witness ;) - just laughed and drove off, filled in form a couple of weeks later and a nice thank-you note from woman a month later - job done  Quote
Scorpiorefugee Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 It always pays to be persistent. My son was travelling down a long straight and a woman (Fact not sexist) pulled out from the right giving him nowhere to go as there was also a car coming in the opposite direction. She admitted liability at that time but later, no doubt after some advice, withdrew it. Nothing in writing! He was with Direct Line and they tried to take the easy way out but he persisted. It took 2 years of constant complaining but he eventually got all of his money back and kept his no-claims. Mind you, he's always given me a hard time!  :D Oh! and well done NikpV! Quote
mumof4 Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 I must say..that all the arrogant, risk taking, "forgotten that indicaters actually work",aggresive ,pully out on you ,cut you up,drivers that i have come across are female.I have so far found that yes men can be just as bad,but not to the extent i have found the female drivers. My one pet hate is others not using their indicaters!!! Quote
mumof4 Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Oh yes..and so far all the peeps that have pulled out on me/cut me up/yelled at me nearly reversed into me(as if you couldnt miss my gal), tailgated me..they have all been female!! Quote
