GeeMan Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Does anyone know if the glbal closing can be wired to the alarm, so it is activated when you press the key, rather than standing there to close it? some pics or detailed explaination would be greatly appreciated Thanks GeeMan Quote
MrT Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Apparently it is there but disabled for safety reasons. It can probably be enabled using VAG-COM. Quote
NikpV Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Quote disabled for safety reasons I think that when the windows are closed via global closing - ie from ouside of the car the safety stop is disabled (detected by current in the window motors) so global closing using the remote could be potentially hazardous - if you have the key in the lock presumably you can see all the windows and any obstructions. The remote may be activated whilst in your pocket accidently  - thats why the car will relock after 30 sec if you don't open a door. Quote
