Guest Hawker Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Hi all, Sorry if this has already been asked. Have a Galaxy 2003 Ghia 2.3 petrol. When using the key to unlock the car, only the drivers door will unlock, all other doors remain locked. Upon pressing the key a second time all remaining doors will unlock. Checked manual which implies this should not happen, just had a window switch replaced on drivers door, before this only one press would open whole car. Any help would be much appreciated. Quote
Masked Marauder Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Presuming no fault exists then it is programable with VAG-COM. There may be another way to resolve this that I don't know of though. Quote
NikpV Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 just had a window switch replaced on drivers door if dealer replaced switch then take it back and tell them and get them to sort (if its a programming problem) incidently which window switch and how much ( my son has modified ;) ;) one of the rear switches with a pointy object and I want to replace it ) Quote

NikpV Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 So get them to sort out the central locking ;) ;) Job done Quote
Guest Hawker Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Will do, just wondered if anyone had any ideas before I go in. Fore warned etc etc. Quote
tiny Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Has this got the standard ford 3 button remote? If so it may be the same as a MK111 mondeo where this is simply an alternate mode for the central locking system. In one mode a single press of the unlock button will unlock all doors, in the other mode a single press only unlocks the drivers door and tailgate and a second press within 3 secs will unlock the other doors. In order to change between the 2 modes(according to the mondeo manual) press and hold the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for at least 4 seconds, the indicators will flash twice to signal that the locking mode has been changed. Do this with the ignition OFF. Hope it helps. Quote
Andrew T Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Has this got the standard ford 3 button remote?Nope it's a VAG 2 button jobby. Quote
