Double Climatronic

Hi

 

Is it normal when I turn my double Climatronic to auto with exterior temperatures of say 23C the front vents expell cold air at great intensity and the rear vents stay completely off?

 

Also if I turn up intensity on the rear vents and temperature set to 18C, the rear vents expell hot air at the same time on the front is cold air?

 

What could be the problem?

Hi . I'm sure you know best, but are you sure you actually have DOUBLE climatronic ? Are there air vents on the roof ? The reason I'm asking is cause car salesmen don't always know (or they don't want YOU to know) what they 're talking about...When I got my car , the dealer would swear it was fitted with double clima (which of course is not the case). So...

Are you shure you have double ac because normaly at the back only hot air comes out so if you want ac you must switch the back fan off and let the air flow from the front.The only double ac i know on these mpv is the one thats come out on the roof like the one i have.

I think that only the ones with manual a/c have those controls normaly over the back door. When the have climate control the pass the controls to the front cc.

Really, now you've mentioned it... I don't have double Climatronic :unsure:

I thought it was double because it has 2 different programmable temperatures one for front and one for rear.

I didn't know because I don't have a manual that I understand since it's in german.

Now I know it's working normally thanks to you.

I just think this system is not that efficient to the rear seats in my hot country Portugal :rolleyes:

I've gota question, is the left side or the right side of the climate control for that back?

 

Also, where are the rear air vents? I know there is one vent for the back, right behind the handbrake but are there more anywhere else?

righthand side for back but thats for single aircon - I think if you've only got vents on the floor and just inside the doors its only single cc

single climate control has temps for front and back, vents behind handbrake and vents in the trim just behind the rear doors - double climate control has more vents I think (I don't have it )

Yes the ones with double Ac have 5 roof vents one for every seat in the 2 and 3 row with indepent air flow regulation as well as the front air vents.The single ac comes out in the front and on the floor behind the front seats at the back left handside on wheel cover only hot air or outside circulation air no ac. Never seen any with ac at the back.
