NikpV Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 without explicitly knowing the following from elsawin possibly implies that it doesn't remain on After each engine start the flame monitor -G64- must inform the control unit within 130 seconds after the heating has switched on, that the flame is burning normally. If this is not the case, the heater unit will automatically try a second start. If after the second start the flame still does not burn normally, the heater will remain switched off until the engine is started again. raymac Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Thanks nik, since mine has been working i have not seen any smoke or dodgy diesel smells from under car, could this be due to the fact that it has a 340 plug fitted  Quote

Tigger Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 As The car was on the ramps Regarding fitting snowchains. I had a look at the booster heater and pipe work. Next week it has an Mot so i did nothing. But I seem to remember someone lagging the water pipes from the engine to the heater. I might have a go after the Mot. Just thought it would not pass with lagging on? :D There are alot of pipes under that takes heat and with rushing wind under the car this must add up to alot of wasted fuel? Quote
