Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I loved that advert where you saw the bloke gently closing the tailgate of his estate. With the last gentle push the rear window shatters. Can anyone remember what that was for? Cheers.Oggy. It was for one of the internet holiday sites - lastminute.com (? IIRC) Quote
Guest MATT jr Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 tomorrow - I'm fetching a 6ftX3ft snooker table top. my plan of action: remove middle row, place snooker table, with one end behind the drivers seat on the floor, and the other end, at the high end of the boot. should fit! MJR Quote
NikpV Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 unless you are very short  it may work better across the other diagonal, move passenger seat as far forward as possible. Will probably gain a few extra inches - less chance of touching tailgate glass :o Quote
Guest MATT jr Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006  well - i have measured up the "loading bay" before going, and it should fit. if it doesn't, i can shift seats around, and gain more space. its just more faffing. MJR Quote
galaxy_1.9TD_Zetec Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 I have a 6 foot long by 4 foot wide box trailer inside my galaxy just now, with tow hitch takes the trailer to 11 feet long. I still have 5 seats in the car too. How do I do that ? Quote

How do I do that ? do you not have a towbar? :( depends how deep this box is, but assuming it isnt very deep, you have removed... the left hand seat, in the 3rd rowthe left hand seat in the middle rowand either rotated the front passenger seat, or move the backrest so the tow hitch can pass thro then placed this box in on its side, facing forwards. or you have removed 2 seat, folded down the rest, and have placed it on top of them. galaxy_1.9TD_Zetec Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Sorry Matt Jr, The method was a bit simpler, I dont have tow bar and trailer was past its best. Got complete tyrailer into galaxy after spending a few hours with the angle grinder. (Chopped it into many small bits !!) G Quote
