Gadgetoid Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 The answer is no...but: Do you really need a bezel and cap - if you use the DVD version of the control assembly then the 12v power socket is included, with a bezel and cap built in. Be very wary with the supposed proper screws - they are supposed to screw into plastic fittings in the switching module, through the metal bracket, but the screws suggested in Ford Microcat look far too big when you do get hold of them - I ended up using some standard fit computer screws, much smaller, so I had piece of mind that I wasn't cracking the circuit board inside the module unit. buford_t_justice Posted May 2, 2006 Author Report Posted May 2, 2006 the bezel and cap are for the seat. its where the rubber boot from the headrest meets the top of the seat. I'll take your advice on the screws and just use my own. thanks. Quote
Gadgetoid Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Apologies Bezel is the plastic trim with two legs that fit into holes you drill in the head end of the metal seat frame (after first cutting upholstery and removing a block of foam). LCD wiring passes out of seat through a hole in the middle of the bezel. You definitely need one on each seat because the rubber gaiter that covers the wiring to the LCD screen is held down at its lower end by the bezel. I'm wondering if 'cap' just fills the cable hole in the middle of the bezel - so you only need it if removing your LCD headrests. Quote
