buford_t_justice Posted April 28, 2006 Author Report Posted April 28, 2006 the front lower half is covered in oil. where else would it have come from ?? Quote
Masked Marauder Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Rocker cover gasket? The EGR connects the exhaust manifold to the inlet manifold and is operated by a vacuum pipe. That is the only connection. It is a metal pipe thing.... Are you on about the plastic pipe that runs up the front of the engine from the bottom of the block? Quote
buford_t_justice Posted April 29, 2006 Author Report Posted April 29, 2006 everything surrounding the EGR Valve is clean. we are not talking a massive amount of oil here so somehow it must be getting into the EGR pipework and then getting out at the valve. Any ideas for this? Ford have just diagnosed a new EGR valve rather than perhaps what might be the cause behind it./ The pipe runs from left to right at the top of the engine close to the bulkhead. Roughly in the centre of this is the EGR Valve. Quote
buford_t_justice Posted April 29, 2006 Author Report Posted April 29, 2006 similar but I have this picture of it. Quote
