safetyman Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I am currently experencing a high fuel consuption on my 2004 130 Tdi galaxy. its been into the dealer twice and they say no fault codes are showing. Although with when i challenged them with extensive knowledge on a possible Aux heater fault, what do you know they suddenly found a fault code. The syptoms are a lower performance in power and recent white smoke from exaust when starting. My current performance is 29mpg, my previous 115 model got 38-40mpg and others i have spoken to agree with this figure. Any ideas or comments to takle frauds with? Quote
Wideboy Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Lol wish we got 30-40,around town in our 2.0 sharan we get around 19.6 ish i think if i had read up a bit better before i bought i would of gone for the vr6 as to be honest i think the petrol would be about the same,ah well still pleased with the car i got at the min, plus our espace we had previous wasnt as good on petrol as what our sharan is so i guess shouldn't complain. KP 115 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I think I would check the air filter as the service interval is around 60,000!!!& at around Quote
Chilli Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 I've got a 130bhp that's getting close to 40mpg for local journeys  . And 45mpg on longer runs :D . Quote
Scorpiorefugee Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Our 115BHP running from a cold start in the current season rapidly rises to 40/45 mpg on local journeys in built up areas but it is lower in very heavy traffic. It will do 50mpg on longer journeys driving at legal speeds. This was more like 38mpg in th cold weather but otherwise similar conditions. Quote
