Guest supamanx Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 I've recently bought a 98 Ghia x 2.8 V6 4 x 4 and have played with it and it's now a CAMPER ! It's probably the fastest (and Thirstiest !) Camper on the Isle of Man My questions are as it's a 4x4 and seems to sit a lot higher than standard I want to drop it and fit decent alloys - Is this possible on this model or can I fit even bigger wheels than has become the norm ? Or would I be better advised to go for the ' Off Road ' look ? I'd be interested in any thoughts as I'm still planning (playing) TA Quote
Guest neil_wiles Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 How about some pictures then ? I would think the lift is to give clearance for the drive train so dropping it may not be a good idea. Quote
Guest supamanx Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 Not the best at this bit but I'll try and add a photo or 2 The first shows the movable kitchen unit - I've taken out the rear heater unit and used the hose entry points for the Gas and water hoses - These pictures were taken on our TRIAL day out watching the bike races at Jurby Airfield. Everything seems to work and with the front seats swivelled there was sufficient space to spread out. Why didn't we have this 30 years ago ? Cheers Oops - won't let me upload the files ? I'll get my daughter to do it tomorrow !! Quote
davec Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 How does the drive get to rear is there still a flat loadspace Quote
