Help. one of my rear seats has a broken frame and latching mechanism.

I have found some one local selling one, in the wrong colour.

So, Can I swap the seat cushions or covers over?. I have had a look and

can't see how the thing comes apart, presumably it must, any ideas or

pointers?.

Had a quick look at the TIS and it says the cushion and backrest are removeable.

There are some electrical connections for side airbags etc so it's not like the old days.

The TIS section is quite detailed, perhaps someone could paste it on the forum, I don't know how sorry.

That is brilliant thanks very much. Looks like a pig of a job, but at least

I can plonk it on the kitchen table with a cuppa and do it in the warm.

Try doing that with your gearbox and see what the wife says.

(Although there is a legend in my family of an uncle who stripped down

a Transit engine in his bedroom, and actually buried a Marina a his garden).

Looks like a pig of a job,

Depends which part is broken - you may get away with track, even so its not too bad, I changed the seat squab & backrest when we bought our gal since a mouse had chewed them. Apparently one seat had been left in a barn and we did not see it before collection, so seller bought the bits and I fitted them (without any instructions :D - took a few extra screws out :D

Actually, having had a closer look at those instructions, they are for the

front seats are'nt they?. Although I guess the rears would be similar.

woops, I see, I was looking at the bit about sliding the seat forwards

and backwards to get to the bolts, I thought the picture showed the

front seat swivel release lever.
