Gabby Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Hello, I bought recently(private deal) a Ford Galaxy 1.9l TDI (2002) and I have two problems: 1. I'm not from UK and my mother tongue is not English, so please excuse my mistakes :lol:2. Air Conditioner ... everything seems to work just fine, except that the cooling is very weak ... Can you guys please tell me what and where should I check first before I take it to a mechanic and pay a lot of money? Thank you in advance, Best Regards,Gabby Quote

colchestero Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 We have had so many problems with the new 2.0tdci Galaxy ghias dual air con/climate so far it's cruel, we've had it work properly roughly for about a month from of the six we've had it. If you set the climate temperature to 16 the real measured temp varies constantly between 9 and 17, but if you go up one notch to set it at 17 it varies between 9 and 23! We sat 45 minutes with a technician in the car whilst it slowly went up the scale to 23 then slowly all the way down to 9, which incidently was the outside temperature at the time. We've had a new heater console, new computer, new software and updates, ugh!! Been to Fords seven times, they fixed it twice but the repairs only works a couple of days, now they're stumped and don't want to touch it. I've spoken to Ford customer services who have tried but really it proves it all a bit of a waste of time and so after seventeen company Fords bought new in the last fifteen years it's going to be the last. Undoubtably the worst car/Galaxy we've ever had. What a shame. Quote
