6000 Mp3 Faulty?

Hi , my cd player and radio doesnt work all that comes up on the display is PHONE does anyone know what this means and how to rectify it? Ive tried unplugging

It prolly means you either have controls plugged in that have gone faulty, or a cable has shorted to earth in the harness behind the CD player.

 

Have a quick check I think its either yellow or purple.

This unit like mine has a function for mobile phone auto noise mute when making and receiving calls through a car kit. It is most likely that behind the unit (if you have no car kit attached) there is still unnecessary wiring from a previous owner, as I had the same problem, but was soon sorted by unplugging the yellow wire.

I agree, sounds like there's a mute signal coming from a car kit. Try disconnecting the car kit or mute wire if there isn't one.
