bigdaddy Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 I got mine from ebay, it was the serial type plug, and it works fine  IIRC it came from the USA Quote
Justice Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 I got mine from herehttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/USB-KKL-Vag...1QQcmdZViewItem quick delivery and fair price but none of the lastest cars will work with these you would need to but a registered version, a cheaper place to buy a proper lead is from herehttp://www.skpang.co.uk/catalog/product_in...2a825649dd92fa0 I was thinking about buying one of these myself so I can use the latest software. dave_m Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 I got the genuine Ross-Tech cable and this actually registers the software as well enabling all of its functions. The Cheaper Ebay leads do not register the software and many of VAG COMS features are locked, and as already mentioned will only work on the older versions of VAG-COM, Also they may not contain the same level of electronic protection to protect both your PC and the Cars ECU and certainly won't be of the same quality The genuine lead although about Quote
