I am in the basingstoke area, is it easy to change or do you know a garage, i have till friday as i really need it to go back to uni for the final term  .

I took the whole family out for Easter sunday to find, when i got back to the car, the battery light on and no powersteering, looked under the bonnet and the belt had snapped.

On the way i had turned the ac on and it smelt of burning so turned it off again, any ideas.

I have only had it 3 weeks and intend going travelling in it this summer after i finish uni, before i enter the big wide world of work,

Cheers,

Tony

Jack up the front of the vehicle, support with axle stands, remove the undershield, Using a spanner on the tensioner pulley, rotate the tensioner clockwise to relieve the tension on the belt, remove the belt, fit your new belt, release the tensioner pulley, refit the undershield

thanks mate for the quick response!

do you think that the burning smell from the ac was due to the belt?

Cheers,
