davec Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 When I was polishing car today I noticed that under the small glass in the front wing, the wing moves when touched and I am wondering if this is giving the creaking I hear in the cab The panel movement is worse on passenger side than drivers but there on both.It is a 2004 model has anyone else got his before I go to dealer. Thanks Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Movement of metal panels when pushed is normal. Doubt that this is any "creaking" sound you hear from inside, which is more likely to be 2 plastic trim panels moving against each other. Give all the dashboard panels a bit of a push and make sure they are securely fixed. Quote
davec Posted April 17, 2006 Author Report Posted April 17, 2006 this seems more like something not fixed, the front wing looks bolted on and i wondered if there is a packing wedge or similar that has fallen out, have to go look at the parts list at dealer. Quote
Masked Marauder Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 The wing is bolted on, that part should have a bead of seam sealer put on it before assembly. Quote
