muffking Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 Hi again. Last question for this install, I promise. In order for me to finish off my aftermarket Sat Nav installation (see here http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...t=ST&f=4&t=7965) I need to fit the speed pulse wire to the back of the speedo. Does anyone know how it comes out? Quote
Marky Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 There is already a speed pulse wire that goes to the back of your head unit..it is violet in colour and is normally on a plug on its own...if this will dothe job it will save you the nightmare that is clock removal !!!! Quote
steve67car Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 what year is the car as that has great bearing on where the speed pulse is Quote
muffking Posted April 16, 2006 Author Report Posted April 16, 2006 It's a 2002 '52 plate.I seem to remember seeing a purple wire on connector C of the radio, but I'll check properly later and see if it works the speed sensing wire for the SatNav. Quote
muffking Posted April 16, 2006 Author Report Posted April 16, 2006 Spot on, the pair of you. I pushed the Navi speed pulse wire into the purple wire on the back of the stereo and drove round the block, it worked perfectly. The wire is now fitted properly through the back of the dash to what is marked as Pin-6 (AVC, the light purple one) of connector-C. Cheers guys,All sorted. DVD & 2 more screens next  Quote
