greg_68 Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 With all the impending holidays approaching the annual issue of finding really good days out becomes an ever increasing problem....to me anyway. I thought it might be useful to start a thread of places you have been that you either loved or disliked (with childrens pleasure in mind). Seeing as the majority of Galaxy owners do so because of too many little ones this seems an ideal place to get real life experiences. Please include your childrens ages if you can. Good days out were have had for 9, 5 and 4 year old. West Midlands Safari ParkConkersDrayton ManorAlton TowersTelford WonderlandGullivers Kingdom (Wigan definitely not Matlock)Water World (something like that) in Stoke.Twycross Zoo All suggestions welcome regardless of location. Cheers and happy holidays Quote
jkspoff Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 Check out this site for kids days out. http://www.allkids.co.uk/days_out.shtml Some tried and tested. BUT, they are sooooooooo expensive, another home re-mortgage is required or an income of a professional footballer, or the usual credit card ! This ones quite cheap and cheerful though, good for the younger ones: http://www.sundownadventureland.co.uk/ Quote
Masked Marauder Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 Well over Easter half term we went to The Walter Rothschild Zoological Museum in Tring and then had a picnic and flew our kites on Dunstable Downs. And that was about it.... Times are hard though! Quote

familyman Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 :( If you'r in the frozen north Alnwick castle and gardens are well worth a look ,also near by is the Northumberland coast with some good places like Bamburgh and lots of good beaches (be warned though, the sea is a tad cool at this time of year! ) Quote
