jbatista Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 (edited) Hi I wondered if any1 had any ideas about this: For the first time I decided to pull out the back seats which I managed with no problem and also manages to get them back in!!The right middle seat is a total different story altogether though - The seat will clip in on the left side but wont at all go into the right side so its not safe to sit in as its very wobbly.I have put up a few pics to show you what I mean Edited April 10, 2006 by jbatista Quote

Bigjeeze Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 Maybe the fixing points are full of crap - kids sweetie wrappers dust , dirt etc. Ensure they are clean and clear and also check to see if the mechanism on the seat frame has locked on one side - That may cause your problem. IF not it may be bent or twisted. Just look at it carefully and compare it to the others that are Ok. Pull the release lever to ensure both sides of the clamp are open. The pics aren't very clear but it looks lioke one side is locked. Quote
katman Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 Dont you just hate it when words with different meanings are spelt exactly the same ? I now see that this thread is about SEETS as in things that you sit in. At first I thought it was a thread about SAYATS as in those Alhambra thingys  Quote
mumof4 Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 it looks to me that one side is not looked..if it wobbles it may not be locked..also...anything gets in those cavities..i take my seats out and hoover the cavities often. Quote
Guest vr6174bhp Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 Remove the seat and check that all the latches line up and move together when you operated the pulls? you sometime find that the weld on the bar that operates the latches breaks, yet still moves the latching mech whem operated! but not far enough for it to operate fully and allow the seat to lock in correctly  Quote
jbatista Posted April 11, 2006 Author Report Posted April 11, 2006 Thanks, I will take out the seat and clean the fixing points etc and have a good look at the seat. Will let you know how I go on Quote
