Guest BiGrin Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 I bought a 2.3 auto zetec yesterday (X reg) and it's very warm inside. I have to keep putting the air-con on, otherwise the blowers blow warmish air. I have no manual with the car. Is this normal? Do I need to keep my air-con on unless it's freezing outside? Quote
gazza007 Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Funny you should mention this. I've had some problems with my Air-con(manual system).(See separate post). I've also noticed that I'm getting very slight warm air through the vents (air con off) and the engine seems warmer to the feel but no signs of over heating. I'm just wondering if my Air-con problems are being caused by a general problem with ventalation system in general.I presume there are various valves & sensors that come into play when selecting air-con on/off or just general use of vents etc. I'm wondering if the air con may be OK and is being fed warm air or dodgy sensor info.On the other hand though it should blow cold if the engine is cold which it isn't.I just hope the dealers do fix it and bring in the independant engineer as promised. I've been told that cold air should blow out at about 6-8 celcius, can someone confirm this.I'm going to put my temp sensor in the vent when it gets fixed!!!! and if it's still warm it will be staying at the dealership...... grifjl Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I measured the temp this weekend on Low (Climate Control) with full fan and got 8C. Quote
