Anti Roll Bar Links

Hi i have read through the posts with regards to this,i have just a quick question how much should i expect to pay to get both the anti roll bar links done at a vw dealer?? Cant do the job myself as i suffer with disease of the spine and i would never manage it.Any thoughts ty

i wouldn't take it to a VW dealer. it is a very basic job. VW will charge approx

Hi I just changed mine (again :blink: ) after 20K miles. It is really very easy. All you need is a couple of spanners and some time. It depends on whether you have the type that has a spanner to hold the joint or an Allen Key. Whichever it is it's jst as simple..

 

You would be better off removing the wheel - I didn't but it does give you more room. Unless the nuts are rusted or stuck it should take no more than 20 mins a side .

Oh and Yes they are the same either side so you order two of them.

I replaced my ARB drop links recently, see here replacing anti-roll bar drop links

and other members too plus seatkid provided some good pics.

Thank you all for your replies i couldn't of asked for better help thank you all.Just hope this cures the knocking i get when the car is on a bumpy road or potholes/speedbumps,im sure it has got to be the anti roll bar links from reading through everything will report back when i get them done.

Mine started knocking within 10,000 miles of replacement, so I don't intend to replace them again until I have to. Having started knocking, the knocking doesn't seem to get any worse and it passed the MOT like that, so why worry?

All done me brother in law came and done it today problems solved took just over an hour to do both sides,thanks for peoples input on this all very helpful thank you.

Nice one, Wideboy - for a small component they certainly make a racket when worn and the knocking sound is amplified through the suspension.
