Guest grove34 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 i've found a couple of c/l units going pretty cheap with no water damage my c/l unit has got this on it 7 MO 962 257 H95VW 15K600BC the others i've found have got different letters at the end , they end in f and j for the first code and db and bb for the second code as my galaxy hasnt got an alarm would i be ok putting any of these in as as far as i can workout these are to do with the alarm system , maybe not. seeing as all i want to do is get the c/l working would these units be ok. thanks Quote
mumof4 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Your bottom code is your part number (one starting 95) ,i would think that you would want an exact match for the part number or sa ive learnt to my cost,it wont work.ive had a prt where the last number was diff but i got it anyway,it was the wrong one. How cheap is cheap???if it is so cheap you wont miss the money if you get the wrong unit,..then it is up to you i guess, but i would ensure all numbers/letters match for the part number. Quote
Guest grove34 Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 spoke to ford who said that the part numbers have to match perfectly , the part i need doesnt have the alarm part in it , cost Quote
Guest galaxykid Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 My unit has the same part number as yours.. 7 MO 962 257 H95VW 15K600BC it was replaced around 3/4 yrs ago and set me back Quote
Guest grove34 Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 yeah looked at that link and at the moment it looks about the cheapest , unless i can find one in a breakers , which is proving pretty hard to match the part numbers. Quote
