Guest coliff Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Howdy Folks, Took the Gal for an MOT today and it failed on Emissions and on a trackrod end. I am buying the parts and the garage will fit them for me but i notice a few flavours of lambda sensor which i need to buy...2 wire, 4 wire, heated blah blah blah. Mine is a 1997 R reg 2.0 GLX so any idea what sensor type i need please. Cheers, Chris Quote
johnb80 Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Get the pukka Ford one. The pattern ones have been tried and failed by many people on here. Go for the genuine part and it'll be fine. Regards - JB Quote
Guest galaxykid Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Dont buy a generic cheapy version as there are reported casesof these causeibg a few problems B) I would say four wire from the wireing diagram? but you could always pop the plug and look for yourself? it's on the down pipe just after the bend where it shoots off to the cat Quote
Guest coliff Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 New sensor fitted (geniune Ford or so the garage said !) and all seems perfectly smooth, just see if the fuel figures improve any ! Quote
