hello everyone can someone help me my car is covered by ford directs warrenty and is due to expire in june i have an 03 galaxy can thsi be extended and if so how much does it cost

Ford dealers do a WAS Warranty for vehicles up to 10 years.

 

Vehicles up to 40k have most things covered but after that it's just main items.

 

This warranty normally costs

I forgot, the warranty is for 12 months or 12,000 miles, which ever is the sooner.

I've been offered the following warranty (mechanical & electrical) by my local dealer when the Ford Direct Warranty expires:

Can you find details of this on the Ford website somewhere or is it a dealer-specific thing? Considering the regular faults some of the members on here seem to have,

I've just been told by 'Motors' @ Coalville that it's not possible anymore to extend a Ford Direct warranty so can someone post more details on here if they know otherwise.

 

Maybe what is being sold is an insurance-type warranty where you claim your money back after repairs have been done & paid for...not connected to Ford?

 

Help please as I would be very interested at the prices quoted above.

I've used the warranty they offer with no problems.

 

It is not an extension of a Ford Direct warranty but still works ok. After 40k then only major items are covered.
