Door Card Removal

Hi All,

 

With the aid Matts excellent post on this some while back I took the card off the drivers side last weekend to get to an annoying rattle. Thought I would just comment on whether the card really needs to be prised off as the lug on the door seems to have a slot in it that will allow it to slide off. It looks as though a good upwards shove (and it would need to be a GOOD shove) might do the job instead of prising the card from the door frame.

 

This had a 'sort of' test when halfway through putting the card back I realised that I had trapped the wire for the door mirror remote, and it worked, but it wasn't with every stud re-engaged and I did not want to tempt fate by trying it after I had got the card fully back on!!!

 

I have attached a piccy of the lug with the slot!! Also will add another one showing the positions of some of the lugs. Sorry not all are shown, but it might help!!
