Guest galaxykid Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 You could try cleaning the ISV  this controls the idle, if this is sticking it could cause a rough tick over and give the impression of a misfire? apart from that? plugs, leads, injectors, intake air leaks? ............ any fault codes given? Khushahmed Posted March 29, 2006 Author Report Posted March 29, 2006 Will try cleaning ISV already changed plugs , and checked for air leaks all seems okthanks <_< Quote
Guest Wanny Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 Khushahmed (Anyone), I'd be intrested to know when you clean the ISV how the thing works. Had the same problem on my 2.3 with misfire, cleaned the ISV and misfire has gone still get the the occasional high tick over (another problem associated with ISV) However when I cleaned the ISV I noticed that the piston/valve doesn't seat completely on this own and wondered is this normal or is it about buggered ! It will seat completely but seemed abit still. I'll post some pics next time I take it of for inspection. Cheers Ian :( :( Quote
dipsomaniac Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 you say that you have changed plugs and checked for air leaks. have you checked the leads and coil pack? try spraying them with water when dark and look for any arcing. Quote
