Drove the other car into work this morning, which ahs the sort of windnoise problems that makes the Galaxy seem quiet... mikef Quote
Guest neil_wiles Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 MikeF No-one seems to comment on your heating problem but i think what has happened in the race to fix your aux haeter the control to the front matrix has been disconnected, not sure how as mine does not have climate control but I have a twin zone heater arrangement on my Discovery and that has a similar fault that one control overides the other when they should be independant. try turning the climate control on and setting it to a low temperature maybe the CC is trying to warm the cabin to the set temperature whilst your "heater" is trying to cool it. Maybe total b4ll5 but hey I am only at work, will check my data cds when I get home and try and be helpful from there. N Quote
Mikef Posted March 28, 2006 Author Report Posted March 28, 2006 HI NEil - thanks for the reply. I don't have climate comtrol, just air con and 'normal' heating...its the normal heating thats the prob here. When I get chance at teh weekend I'll see what difference using air con makes. its a pain after spending so much time and money on the aux heater system... ho hum cheers mikef Quote
gazza007 Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Could be the controls themselves, Mine don't always respond first time especially on direction control Quote
Guest Gurugal Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 This might seem daft but it's worth a look. My wife usually turns the heating on via the front panel and leaves the back control on cold and vice versa - could that be the problem? That way the system fights itself. It's either that or possibly the flap controls are disconnected or broken. It's certainly worth a try. Quote
