Guest family bus Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 I have a 115 bhp TDI Galaxy with 30,000 miles on the clock. Occasional power loss is suffered from when it first starts up. This does not go away after a few minutes or by stopping the engine and starting again but the following day or after a few hours sitting idle the next time you start it up it is fine. I have taken the car to a Ford garage and explained this to them but they say they cannot find a problem. The Galaxy has been serviced from new and apart from this issue we have not had any other problems with the engine. Any ideas ? Quote
johnb80 Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Sounds like the MAF or connections to it or turbo problems. Regards - JB Quote
The Barge Captain Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 Ours wouwld suffer from power loss, turned out to be the turbo, not just the usual valve problem. Quote
