strouf Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Hello, When I turn engine off, remove key I notice a low noice , something like an electric motor running for quite some time..Don't know excactly for how long and it's definatelly NOT the radiator fan !! It comes from behind the battery compartment I think . Any ideas ? Thanks for your time !! Quote
Guest galaxykid Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 It's actual purpose is to keep the coolant flowing after shut down to prevent hotspots forming in the head and to prevent warping! as far as I'm aware VW dont do a water cooled turbo? most of them are oil cooled! Quote

It would be very ineteresting to try and water cool a turbo, they do tend to run a little on the hot side :D Quote
