Hello,

When I turn engine off, remove key I notice a low noice , something like an electric motor running for quite some time..Don't know excactly for how long and it's definatelly NOT the radiator fan !! It comes from behind the battery compartment I think . Any ideas ?

Thanks for your time !!

It's actual purpose is to keep the coolant flowing after shut down to prevent hotspots forming in the head and to prevent warping! as far as I'm aware VW dont do a water cooled turbo? most of them are oil cooled!

It would be very ineteresting to try and water cool a turbo, they do tend to run a little on the hot side :D
