Remote Locking

hello,

i just bought a 99T galaxy zetec and it came with no remote how do i find out if the car was fitted remote locking and how easy is it for to get it, can i just get keys off ebay and cut and program them or is it more involved this would be a nice feature my car.

If your windows close and open if you hold the key in the lock/unlock position then you can buy a remote that will do that and it is very easy to install yourself , the lights flash to let you know if it has armed the cost is about

they all have the window closure even base model

No! they dont :ph34r: early Aspen and GLX models didnt have global closing as standard as far up as to 1999 when the LX, ZETEC models came, out it was only standard fit on the Ghia, Ghia X and Ultima according to the sales brochures :lol: sad I know but I collect them :ph34r:

no the toad dont work the windows just the c.l. we up inleeds maybe things are cheaper oop north. we got a s reg 98 glx and that got the global closing on the key but our 97 glx does not. My Webshop discount for forum members

MyToad Ai606 operates the global closing via the remotes :) but it was a LOT dearer :lol: so I would expect it too! my 96GLX has global closing :lol: it has a few other extras that the brochure says are not standard to it :lol: I think it's down to the luck of the draw or what the original owner specced to what you get?

I knew some one who had a Sharan and they had owned it for 18 mths and were not aware that holding the key over did the windows as well. :lol:

I have just read the link and he say's on his add that it will operate globel closing,if it dose that is a fantastic price, I might even consider asking him to veryfy the close function.
