marinabrid Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 hi all, on the later mk 1 98 on where is the heated seat relay ? ive looked in the handbook but it does not show or even list it, or is it called something else in the handbook , no relay under seats as on earlier models just the wires from the seat to the wiring harness. thanks Quote
oscargps9 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 I don't think there is one on the newer models. I'm having the same problem.Have a look athttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=7660Older models have relays under each seat and they are interchangeable - to test seats.Be careful with the wiring as one connector is for the seat air bag if fitted. marinabrid Posted March 22, 2006 Author Report Posted March 22, 2006 how do big daddy the ford no. for the relay is stamped on it to identify it.95 vw 14 A 707AA now where abouts is it ? is it in the front ones or the ones underneath ? Quote
vodkas Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Been getting a bad crackling sound coming from the fuse box inside the car, sounded a bit scarey at first and couldn't find out what it was. Realised it was a relay chattering away. eventually found that if I turned my heated seats off, the relay stopped and it started chattering again when the seats heated back up, must be something to do with the thermostat. Have not looked to far into it yet but the relay is in the fuse box by the drivers footwell. Quote
