My Lights Dont Flash

it anoys the hell out of me dont know how to get flashing indicators when locking remotley !! it has factory alarm and imb !!!

on a 2.8 v6 any clues !!!!

It would be nice, mine flashes when you unlock but not when you lock, as the central locking is fairly quiet I often find I have to check a door handle to confirm its locked.

ours flash on lock and unlock..think its 2 for lock and 1 for unlock..(ive prob got it the wrong way round)

urm on my 96 sharan (doesnt have remote locking), if you lock it and any door is left opened, the red flashing LED blinks at 1 sec intervals i.e OOOOOOOOOOOOON,off, OOOOOOOOOOOOON, off

compared to the usual OOOOOOOOOOOOOFF, on, OOOOOOOOOOOOFF, on.

 

But when i lock the gal, (its gota remote this time), even if one or all of the door are open, the indicators flash the standard one time and the red LED flashes OOOOOOOOOOOOOFF, on, OOOOOOOOOOOOFF, on (shouldn't it flash OOOOOOOOOOOOON,off, OOOOOOOOOOOOON, off because the doors are open?)

I thought that this was programmable - using vag-com/wds2000 someone with vag-com may be able to tell you

Out of interest was the car a import - some countries don't allow the indicators to flash when setting alarm etc - if not, have they ever flashed? As goofgolfer says a duff switch but in this case I think that they should still flash on unlock see the following thread.

Sorry to be on topic, but our 97 2.3 Mk1 doesn't flash, but the 99 Mk1 V6 does. Both Ghia X.
