I'm putting my Gal up for sale this week but i want to touch up some minor scratches, trundles off to Halfords only to find i didn't know which exact colour i need, there's loads of blue's!!!

Have looked on the passenger side B pillar but all i can find is an airbag sticker!

Am i looking in the right place?, is the B pillar the one that separates the front & rear doors?

It's a 2000 W plate MK1

if you ring the fraud dealer, give them the car reg

It had a Private reg on til last week when those nice people at the DVLA gave it a new one.

Am i right in looking at the pillar that separates the passenger side doors?

If it's not there then where is it?

I can see the No. that shows through the windscreen on the passenger side, would that do?

the number through the windscreen is th VIN number, this contains info about when and where made etc. the VIN plate, or sticker usually lives on the passenger b-pillar. might be worth a snout under the bonnet?

Just noticed it looks as if i've got a couple of inches of water inside my headlamps!

It must be a trick of the light coz there isn't.

I won't be doing any more photies tonight because a couple walking their dog have just witnessed one of their neighbours photographing his car in his PJ's and dressing gown at 10.30pm.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.

I'll have another dekko tomorrow

it only leaves the washed out blue that is MEDIUM STEEL BLUE

I rang the local fraud dealer and gave them the vin no. and it is indeed medium steel blue!

Top Chap Doa2

top left had side, down the hole near the bonnet hinge

Found it!

It was completely covered in grime so was impossible to see without prior knowledge.

Thanks ChromeDome

Quick visit to Halfords for a "stone chip & scratch repair system" and the colour match is superb and that's without putting the lacquer coat on!

Nice one Guys
