Hi

My mid cab Power outlet is broken( The one next to the Media controller  After trying the obvious fuses I lifted the four screws keeping the centre consol down. After lifting up and contorting myself upside down to view, I see there that the black wire has snapped orf.

Now how on earth do these power point unplug?? I can see the plug type affair at the rear but can't get it off. Nor does the whole plug/socket come out.

Unless you know different....help please

You don't say whether your multimedia setup is DVD or VHS ( so power outlet either in console 'dash' with DVD or separately on the side of the console with VHS setup). Either way this installation guide should help (credit to joczeze in the ICE section of this forum)

If you have a DVD setup and want to replace that particular section of cable rather than mend it then the part number is F 1146020 from Frauds ( GBP 25.17 inc VAT) - or by chance I have a brand new spare if you want to message me and make an offer.

Thanks for the info, some useful tips!

It's unfortuneately the VHS system. Soon to have a small DVD unit as the aux. I may just hard wire it to the wires going to that socket. Shame it's perm live, so will have to add a switch

That PDF schematic / installation doc is top notch. Thanks a lot for that, that will come in very handy

The part "E" ie the plate with the buttons and sockets, is that available from Ford as mine has been kicked about abit and there is a botton missing.

Yes that part is available from Frauds as a spare part - there are two versions though one for VHS and one for DVD setups. Sorry I don't know the part number for the VHS version, but I would imagine it would be fairly easy to work out which is which on the Ford parts system. Cost about
