malcolm.dobell Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 My Alhambra has 245/45x17 tyres as standard. When replacing two front tyres, tracking was reset to 1mm toe out. Does anyone know if this is the correct dimension, as the steering feels funny. Found lots of references to tracking but none to the dimension! Thanks in advance Quote
Mr Poisson Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 malcolm the figures are -0deg5minutes (+/- 0deg 40 minutes) for each wheel therefore total toe is -0deg 10 minutes (+/- 20 minutes) hope this makes sense? figures are for a mkII can't find any linear measurements, sorry regards Quote
Guest K Matters Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 1st year High School Maths: sine (theta) = x / d d = 17" = 17 x 25.4 mm Therefore x = 17 x 25.4 x sin (10/60 degrees) = 1.256mm======== 1mm is near enough. Don't they teach trig any more? Quote
