I do not think that this site needs moderating as it mods itself.

When someone post's an inaproprate post he/she will soon get put in thier place by other members.

 

I use to be a member of Sunfly forum which was a forum for Karaoke host's, there was so much bitching and backstabbing that the owners shut the site down and we all lost out becouse of the few arseholes.

I myself have had a few tate a tate's with other members but nothing that has worried me so don't let yourself get worried about nothing. :lol:

I agree that most forums moderate themselves, but there is always some sort of damage when things like this happen, and having helpful people leave just messes it up for all of us.

 

I personally have a little list in my head of people whose posts I never even look at, life's too short to waste hoping that they might just come up with an interesting snippet every few years.

 

That's why you will never see a high number of posts from me, I sometimes start to write something and stop when I realise that what I've got to say really doesn't matter. I've got no problem with the "me too" brigade, I just can't be bothered.

 

BUT... In this case, Del has done this before, causing someone to leave(?), I think it should be stopped.

 

All the above does not apply to this forum alone (apart from the last bit), Bassworld, QueenOnline, UKCampsite all have there listed users, Queenzone just doesn't even get looked at any more.

As vr6 has pointed out before..this is an open forum and kids can get onto it or even read over shoulders(i know mine do!!)

 

we all take the pi55 out of each other and the use of smilies shows we dont mean it!!(half the time).

i am a memeber of a couple of other car forums and such behaveoir like this is not tolorated takin the mick is part and parcel but comments like this should not be aloud.

we all come on here to try and help one another and save our presious cash and not squander it at the stealers,as far as im concerend any info is good info if it makes people happy or laugh.

 

i try to help people out here with my limited ammount of knowledge on cars as i can.

 

i work in the building industry as a carpenter and joiner,i have the urine extracted out of me nearly everyday of the week,i certainly dont go crying to my mummy.

after reading the topics with dels posts in, its not like you can say he wasn't aggravated by certain members!

 

and its not just del with the bad language, i think most of the members on here <including me>, have put at least one swear word into a post!

 

something some of our members need to remember, is that some of us, have no technical knowledge, and simply put "ideas" forward, to what the problem could be. it is wrong for another member to then take this suggestion, and piss take!

 

also, because you do not know me, cant see me, cant hear me, cant see my expressions, you are only reading what i type, and so dont know what situation i am in, ie, am i stressed? am i relaxed? have i got 3 kids screaming at me? have i had a crap day? if i was stressed, had a crap day, and was sick of people, then i would be more likely to snap at someone, than when im relaxed, and your sense of humor is untarnished.

 

also, i dont care how bad peoples spelling is, or grammar, doesn't matter!

I have to say that I also have some sympathy with delboyt.

It's arrogant of vr6 to take the micky about del's spelling - he makes more than enough mistakes himself.

Both have posted useful and helpful answers in the technical forums.
