As del so eloquently puts it :o if you have a none OE head unit you will need a booster to power the OE in line aerial amp, if you have an OE head unit and the signals crap again as del says, check the connection on the drivers side rear pop out window? or it depends on what radio station your listening to? radio 1 ? err thats not your radio  it generally sounds like crap!

the cable I believe is routed along the drivers side sill in amongst the rest of the loom

Its non OE head unit ,came off of svp.com ,bargian!!!!radio 2 is fine but virgin it just wont have any of !!

Does the booster you speak ofgo onto the back of the radio ,or the aerial booster at the rear window,?

Also any idea where to get one as Halfords round here are staffed by 12 yr olds that think everyone should have a saxo fully loaded with ripoff .oops ripspeed stuff

Plugs into the rear of the radio and picks up a power supply from one of the connections on the back, OE head units have a built in power lead that powers the aerial amp hence the loss of signal with a none OE head unit

del plz stop throwing your toys out of the pram as been said on various other posts we are all at times in the wrong(yes even me  )for being flippent and general pi%% taking,i no if i give it it is given light heartedly, and i will receive it the same, its certainly not worth beating yourself up about it,

and if there was a poll here for us to choose between the 2 members who seem to have upset one another i think you would be embrassed to see the result.

we all come on here to try and help one another and save our presious cash and not squander it at the stealers,as far as im concerend any info is good info if it makes people happy or laugh.

i try to help people out here with my limited ammount of knowledge on cars as i can.

i work in the building industry as a carpenter and joiner,i have the urine extracted out of me nearly everyday of the week,i certainly dont go crying to my mummy.
